TrueView ads are skippable video ads that appear before, during, or after other videos on YouTube and the Google Display Network. Viewers can skip TrueView ads after five seconds. You only pay if a viewer watches at least 30 seconds of your ad (or the entire ad if it's shorter than 30 seconds) or interacts with it, whichever comes first. Bumper ads are short, non-skippable video ads that are six seconds or less. They are designed for quick brand messages and to reach a wide audience. You pay for Bumper ads based on impressions (how many times your ad is shown).
TrueView Skip after 5s, payment only if viewed ≥30s or complete. Bumper 6s non-skippable, CPM payment. TrueView = consideration. Bumper = awareness.
Do shorts really work?
Yes — explosive growth since 2024. Vertical 9:16 format is mandatory. Excellent for reaching under 35s. CPV often lower than long-form.
Can we track conversions?
Yes — even if the view is «view-through» (a view without a click). Google attributes conversions with a data-driven model. Ideal for measuring the indirect impact of video.
Format Masthead: for whom?
YouTube Homepage — very expensive (minimum €50,000/day). Reserved for large brands on major launches. We do not offer it by default.
